When Señor Cauzzi first saw the sea that lapped on the shores of the island of Formentera, he saw the aquamarine water wash over the whitest sand he had ever seen and he decided that it was magical, a sensation of beauty that would never leave him. A few years later, he bought a villa in Cap Roig, an old world resort with an almost equally stunning beach just 100 meters from the villa and it was no wonder he decided he would call it ‘’. Now apart from its ideal location near the beach, the plot has 800m2 of terrain and the house itself is quite large with 186m2 of internal space on two floors. On the ground floor, there is a large and independent kitchen, a separate dining and living area that leads onto a covered terrace of 26m2. There are also two bedrooms on this level with a large, shared bathroom and a 36m2 garage that could be turned into a games room, entertainment zone, or a huge master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the second floor, we have a delightful attic space with large, double bedroom, own bathroom and a huge terrace with seaviews. And to ensure privacy, there is a high cypress hedge that runs around the property. What Formentera does not have is a pool which would be the jewel on the crown of this large and perfectually situated home. And while Mr Cauzzi did call this villa Formentera after the Baleric isle, it was a long, long time ago so this villa could certainly do with some modernization. Because it is so large and with so many great interior design options, one can spend a little or a lot depending on what one wants to achieve.
