description

This wonderful property is an emblazoned Galician pazo located in the province of Lugo, a short distance from the Mariña Lucense and Western Asturias. At the beginning of this century, the current owners, who are businessmen originally from the area and living outside Spain, acquired the property with the aim of rehabilitating it and exploiting it as a tourist complex, thus making a hotel, restaurant and flats. This comprehensive refurbishment was carried out in its entirety, but the business was never opened to the public, being used only for occasional social events on demand. Currently, the owners maintain their hotel business outside Spain and, due to their age, have no intention of undertaking a new business project. It is for this reason that they have decided to put it up for sale. The property, as mentioned, is fully conditioned and equipped for the activity, except that the kitchen is not set up (in terms of cookers, hoods, cameras, etc.). For the rest, the other 8 rooms are equipped, as is the restaurant. There are 3 lounges on the ground floor and 2 more on the upper floor. One of them has a beautiful glazed wooden gallery and the other one is built around a huge and impressive lareira, also restored. The interior walls are made of exposed stone in the lounges, as well as in several of the rooms. In architectural terms, the main building is built in stone masonry and slate, and has more or less 800m2 of floor space (speaking only of the main building). It was built around 1580 and has three towers, two of them octagonal, and an impressive façade. In the grounds of the property, there is also a chapel from the middle of the 18th century with an altarpiece from an unknown period, a granary, a dovecote (also octagonal), a flat project and a nave. The total area of the farms is more than 3 hectares, and a small river runs through it, channelled in stone, which does not dry up at any time of the year. According to the owner, there were locks in the river which were used in summer to raise the level of the river and make it navigable for recreational activities. As for the environment, it is very pleasant. It is well communicated, accessible and surrounded by nature.
