Location The municipality of Juviles is located in the central part of La Alpujarra Granadina. It limits with the municipalities of Trevélez, Bérchules, Lobras, Cástaras and Busquístar. Much of its municipal area, located on a small plateau surrounded by chestnut trees, is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park. Likewise, the core itself and the land below it are part of the Historical Site of La Alpujarra. Juviles is structured as a 'town street' on the lake of the provincial highway, which also crosses the population center, dividing it into two distinct parts: the Barrio Alto and the Barrio Bajo. This road organizes its structure and the main streets run parallel to the road, which in turn, is drawn following the contour lines. This fact, together with the relatively flat topography on which the nucleus is based, means that it does not have the long and steep streets so characteristic of the towns of La Alpujarra. For the rest, Juviles keeps the most traditional peculiarities of the region, with narrow streets, nooks, tinaos.
Fenced plot.
