Los Urrutias has a lively harbour, water sports, a paddle court, a tennis court, a sports field and a petanque court next to the Centro Social with playground and all within a distance of 200 m. Various activities are organised annually by the board of the Centro Social, including a paella competition where it is always pleasantly busy and everyone comes to taste this local speciality. In the interior of the Centro Social, courses are given, including yoga, zumba dancing and Spanish lessons and there are weekly pilates lessons on one of the balnearios with a great view over the Mar Menor. For the creative ones there are workshops in jewellery making, wood burning and much more in La Zona, located next to the Mercadona in Los Alcázares. There are more than 10 restaurants within a maximum of 10 minutes walking distance, which are open all year round. The GP and pharmacy can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. The protected nature reserve of Parque Regional de Calblanque is 20 minutes away towards La Manga and Cabo de Palos.
