Not only is this villa totally detached, it’s on a corner plot of approximately 430m2 and it’s situated in one of the quietest areas of south Tenerife - Chayofa. The plot has one neighbour on one side and one to the rear, and has nicely matured gardens, so the property is very private. Inside Entering the property you’re greeted with a large open vestibule with a spiral staircase, which leads upstairs, to the right…more on that later. Immediately to your left, you’ll find an internal door that leads to the garage. Straight ahead of you, there are 2 doors. Take the left and you find the villa's bar…a great place to chill out and it also has a door that leads out to the pool, so it serves not only as a bar but also a place to maybe serve food to your guests who are enjoying themselves in your pool. This room lends itself well to be another small bedroom or an office if you need one. The right hand door of the two, leads to one of the 3 bedrooms on this level. It’s a good sized double bedroom and has en-suite facilities and a window looking out onto the garden. The en-suite bathroom has a toilet, sink and large, walk-in shower. Coming back out into the vestibule hallway and with the main door to your back, past a good sized storage cupboard and the spiral staircase and you’ll see 3 more doors in front of you. Behind the central door you’ll find the fully fitted, guest’s bathroom, to be shared between both bedrooms, whose doors are either side of this door. The bathroom is large and has a window out to the garden. It’s currently fitted with a bath, a large walk-in shower, toilet and sink. The bedrooms that sit either side of this bathroom are both doubles, have fitted wardrobes and again, have windows that look out into the gardens. Using the spiral staircase to get to the top floor, you’re greeted with a massive open space currently used as the open plan dining area and the lounge. This area is massive. The lounge has sliding doors, which have fitted fly screens, which then lead out onto the large main balcony. On this floor you’ll also find the double primary suite, which is also en-suite. The en-suite bathroom is currently fitted with a bath, large shower, WC and sink. The double bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a window. Finally, on this level, you’ll also find the kitchen. It’s been renovated over the years and is fully fitted with plenty of storage cupboards. The kitchen is also large enough to have a breakfast table and four chairs as well…it’s a really good size overall. Outside The large balcony off the lounge has views down towards Los Cristianos, Guaza mountain and out to sea and La Gomera. There’s a retractable sunblind and a table and chairs for 6 people and there’s still more than that same amount of space again for private sunbathing. The gardens, as mentioned before, are mature and tend to have been segregated into their own built up flower beds. There’s a separate rose garden with plenty of space for a couple of relaxing chairs and a table to make the most of the aroma of the garden when it’s in bloom. The pool is of a triangular shape and has a BBQ built next to it and a large seating area and it's very close to the door that leads back into the bar. Below the pool is the pool room. Also, towards the side of the building, you’ll find a large shed/workshop and a garage which could easily be converted to another bedroom if required as there’s parking on the street outside. Chayofa - The Town Chayofa is a quiet village, but depending upon who you talk to, you’ll be told it’s not a village either as it has very few shops…but…if it’s tranquility, views, slightly cooler temperatures and to be within a 10 minute drive of Los Cristianos that you want, then Chayofa could very well be what you are looking for. It has a generally mixed population although used to lean towards German visitors and residents, which may be explained by a story about Chayofa I found out about a while ago…but in recent years the demographic has changed and the nationalities vary just as they do all over Tenerife. Chayofa is really a development of houses and complexes, but don’t let that put you off, because the majority of the property in the area has been built with quality in mind. The village (let’s call it that for now…) is set in the hills above Los Cristianos and as mentioned earlier is only a 10 minute drive down the hill into the popular fishing port. The main hospital that is currently being redeveloped and substantially enlarged is only a 5 minute drive away. The area has 2 Country Clubs (Chayofa Country Club and Regency Country Club), a few small shops, a tennis club, a number of bars and restaurants as well as the very popular Finca del Arte which is a multi-purpose bar, restaurant, art and a music venue, in fact the restaurant has become much better recently and there’s quite often some live music events. In the summer, Sunday lunch can be taken on the relaxing patio area outside which has beautiful views down the hill to the coast. Thanks to Chayofa’s hillside location you’ll find that the area is a little greener than areas closer to the sea, the views are tremendous and being slightly higher than [Las Americas and [Los Cristianos, it is generally a cooler area. Being a distance away from the facilities of a town, you will need some sort of transport, although there is an excellent bus service running into the major resorts of Tenerife and of course taxis are on call 24 hours a day.
