Finca Gekko is called finca Gekko because there are no flies anywhere. The reason there are no flies is because there is a magic circle of Gekkos who live around the house and they absolutely love a nice, crispy fly for breakfast. So now you know. The other magical thing about this house is its location. It is held in the awesome embrace of the Burga Valley, with mountainscapes soaring into the blue like only mountains can while the house itself sits in the cozy surrounds of the valley, as if it too were admiring the view. In fact this little finca of two hectares is beautiful, planted in olive and almond trees that, if you are a nature lover and looking for a quiet corner of the world, it could easily conquer your heart. And while we have talked about the location of this tiny house, the surprising thing is the house is not tiny. It appears to be but consider this. The main house has 37m2 plus a typical rural mezzazine of 9.5m2. After that there is the corall which can be roofed and intergrated into the main house of 13m2. And then you have a utility shed to the side of 6m2. And naturally one would absolutely need to put a pergola over the porch which is another 22m2. All in all, while it might appear tiny, with time, elbow grease and some heavy lifting plus a few euros, this property could have a legally, livable total area of 102m2. Not bad for a house that seems to be tiny as first glance. Of course, there are are other considerations. The house has a basic 12v lighting system and collects rainwater into a 3000l PVC water container. So these are all things that would need a serious upgrade. Yet all in all, with all the Gekkos and all that potential and all that beauty, paying 70,000€ to adquire a beautiful project that you can renovate at your own leisure and pace, well we think it is pretty attractive. Certainly the Gekkos think so but then again, they don’t have to actually go to the notary and pay for the finca.
