El Águila, the finca of the eagle in English, is so called because it is perched high over the Mediterranean coast and the Ebro Delta, with commanding views of what is a beautifully natural part of the world. Unlike and eagle’s nest however, this finca has a pool…a very big pool. And yes it also has a sun terrace of 100m2 with a covered outside lounge, barbecue and dining area of 60m2. So you have guessed. The owner of the finca is definitely not the eagle. The property is composed of a main house and a separate guest quarters. The main house is accessed via the covered terrace and pool zone, opening into a 30m2 living area, that leads to the dining area and American style kitchen. It is largely an open plan in design and off this central area, there are two good-sized bedrooms with two, interconnected bathrooms, one featuring a jacuzzi. Now here comes the interesting bit. The main door of the house does not lead to the main house but rather opens into a study and lounge area with its own stairs to access two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. This forms the guest quarters of the dwelling. And while it is connected to the main house via an internal door, it does give the sense of being a separate space. Now the one thing this finca does not lack from is storage space. There are two, basement rooms, one for water and heating management and the other purely for storage. There is also a pantry and laundry room plus a double garage that houses the diesel-fuelled central heating system. And there is one other nice feature, a fully restored casita del campo of 20m2 located on the two hectares of land. Other notable features is a high powered solar system with generator back-up plus its own well for water. It is also located just a few minutes from the centre of El Perelló town as the eagle flies naturally. Of course nothing is perfect and if there is a drawback it would be the noise from the National road when there is a breeze coming from the sea. But all things considered, this could make a handsome nest with birds-eye views of the Mediterranean which, after a glass or two of wine, may make you feel that you can fly.
