Bubión is a Spanish town and municipality, belonging to the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is located in the northwestern part of the Alpujarra Granadina. It limits with the municipalities of Lanjarón, Capileira, La Taha, Pampaneira, Soportújar and Pórtugos. A large part of its municipal area belongs to the Sierra Nevada National Park, and is part of the Poqueira Ravine Historic Site. It is located in the Barranco de Poqueira, sharing this place with Capileira and Pampaneira. The central position in which it is located allows for impressive views. For this reason, on clear days, it is possible to see the Mediterranean Sea and Sierra Nevada at the same time from the same point. The town has a great architectural wealth: various streets and houses were built by the Arabs and, later, preserved by the town’s inhabitants; fountains are common and can be found in any street and the houses are characterized by chimneys and the absence of roofs.
