This is a peculiar building built in red slate stone in a small medieval village in Argul, Principality of Asturias (council of Pesoz). This property was given the name of 'la Casa del Vilar' in 2004, as it is a historical site declared a site of cultural interest. The property has a built surface area of 530m2 and a tunnel running through the lower part of the property.  Within the Navia Historical Park, in the West of Asturias, this architectural complex is fully adapted to the characteristics of the environment in which it is located. In the lower part of the house there is a path that crosses the building from north to south, the rock itself being one of the walls of this passage. This path is actually a 'tunnel' that is about 20 metres long. The house is a building constructed at different heights, making the most of the unevenness of the terrain, reaching three floors. In addition to the detail of the tunnel, it has another peculiarity: a tower that crowns the house at the top. The building consists of the house, with a traditional western Asturian kitchen, with chestnut wood benches around it, a stone oven, 9 rooms, an attic and a 50 square metre courtyard. The lower part is where the stables, the hayloft and the cellar used to be. There is a car park at the door, with an access road to the house. There is water, electricity and sewerage at the foot of the property. It also has a small plot of land of around 190m2. It is an ideal property for a rural tourism business, once reformed. The area of Asturias in which it is located has enormous possibilities for tourism development. Specifically, this property is located about 60km from the coast.
