The beach promenade starts at the lighthouse in Torrox and continues to the neighbouring village of El Morche to the west, on the way it's passing the natural beach Playa Las Dunas, which has natural sand dunes. It's possible to continue walking along the sea all the way to the next lighthouse in Torre del Mar, about 15 km away. Nerja is 5 km away in the other direction towards east along the sea.
